More construction jobs with seniors housing project

The Queensland Government's new $9 million seniors housing program, launched earlier this month at Hillcrest, is expected to support up to 130 new jobs.

The initiative is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Churches of Christ in Queensland, and will provide 30 new homes for seniors.

It will deliver 24 one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units for seniors. The complex will also be near transport, shopping and essential services. Eligible seniors over 55 will be invited to move to the new units from their existing government housing.

Churches of Christ will be delivering the construction component of the project. Keep an eye out for future job opportunities.
