Final 600 Games jobs on offer ahead of GC2018
The final 600 jobs with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) have now been advertised by GOLDOC (from Monday 7 August).
While they’re not technically ‘Logan’ jobs, they offer a great opportunity for our residents to be involved in a major event just down the road.
With just 244 days until the Games, a wide range of positions still need to be filled. In April next year, 6600 athletes from 70 nations and territories will converge on our state for the biggest sporting event Australia has seen this decade.
To deliver an event of this scale, the Games need a large and diverse skilled workforce.
These positions will be involved in frontline and behind the scenes, with GOLDOC was seeking a range of motivated people with a variety of experience.
GOLDOC is looking to fill positions in key areas including Spectator Services, Fleet Operations, Venue Logistics, Arrival and Departure Officers, Venue Protocol and Catering, Cleaning and Waste.
This is the final phase of recruitment for GOLDOC in the lead up to the GC2018.
The Commonwealth Games will be held from 4 to 15 April 2018.
