IPS Headspace Meadowbrook - helping young people in Logan find work
For young people, finding a job can be tough. Headspace Meadowbrook is making that challenge easier by providing individual job placement support through its trial Working Well program funded by the Australian Government (Department of Social Services).
IPS #WorkingWell, is available to young people up to the age of 25 years who are accessing Headspace Meadowbrook.
Headspace Meadowbrook is one of 14 headspace sites Australia-wide trialing the program, which integrates employment and vocational support with clinical mental health and non-vocational support for young people. IPS focuses on the needs of young people with mental illness who want to work or study.
The Headspace Meadowbrook program is working closely with Jobactive, disability employment providers and building relationships with local employers. The service not only helps employers recruit job-ready candidates, but also provides on-the-job support to young people and their employers.
