You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation and food hygiene in the kitchen. You must be able to work in a team environment, have very good communication skills and knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods. Your job is to preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele. Approximately 25 - 40 hours per week and potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Preparation and cooking of all menu items to venue standards
Stock rotation and food safety
Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant
Commercial Cookery qualifications (preferred but not essential)
Experience using an offset smoker (preferred but not essential)
Good knowledge of HACCAP and Food Safety Standards
Team player
Flexibility to adapt to changing demands
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility across trading hours including weekends and public holidays
